How to Subscribe to Schedule Email updates or Sync with Calendars (Or clear your subscriptions and start over)
How to subscribe to schedules for email updates
On embroedge.ca go to “Schedule/Results”, and then click a team you would like to subscribe too.
Above the schedule list click the League and at the bottom of that page click subscribe and choose “subscribe to this page” and click save.
This will subscribe you to emails whenever the schedule is changed, a game or tournament added, or results of a game are updated.
To manage your subscriptions (or to remove them all and start over) Login to the website, click “my account” click the “subscriptions” tab and remove all check marks from pages/thread, blogs, content types and categories. The number beside these under overview should now all be zero. Then follow the instructions at the beginning of this help file to subscribe to just the content you need. Most people will want to subscribe to their teams(s) schedule page (Unless you sync it as below), Their "Team Site" Page (coaches and players can post comments) and possibly the Emha Calendar. (Calendar link at top of embroedge with EMHA events)
How to sync your Outlook, iPhone, iCal and Gmail calendar
Would you like to be able to import your team(s) schedules into your other calendars, and automatically sync when those schedules change? Now you can! This website provides a Live Calendar "Feed" which allows programs like Microsoft Outlook®, services like Google Calendar™, or devices like the Apple iPhone™ to import and combine with your other calendars. Because it's a "feed" and not a "file" (which you can also export from this site), information changed on the site will automatically update in your other calendar(s).
To sync your calendar with the team or teams schedule you choose go to embroedge.ca, click “schedule/results” choose the team you want to sync with and click “View game calendar” On the Game calendar screen click Subscribe with Outlook (this link will also work on an iPhone) That’s it. Follow the prompts in Outlook or on you iPhone and the sync will be complete within a minute. You can right click the calendar in Outlook, choose properties and rename it if you want. For multiple calendars repeat these steps but choose the next team calendar you would like to subscribe to.
For gmail you must right click the “Subscribe with outlook” link and choose copy shortcut.
Login to Google and visit your Google Calendar™ (usually http://calendar.google.com)
On the left-hand side, look for an area called "Other Calendars"
Click Add, and then click Add by URL
Paste the shortcut we copied from the “subscribe with outlook” into the URL: box provided, and click Add Calendar
Optional: After the calendar is added, you can rename it by clicking the Calendar Settings associated with that calendar.
(Google Calendar will only update once a day. This is a setting within Google Calendar that cannot be changed)
Apple iCal™
Right click the “Subscribe with outlook” link on your teams game calendar page and choose copy shortcut. Open iCal, and in the main menu select Calendar, then subscribe...
Paste the address copied from the "Subscribe with Outlook" link into the Calendar URL: box provided, and click Subscribe
Type a name and/or description for the calendar into the boxes provided, set the Auto-refresh as desired, and click OK
BlackBerry® Users: Unfortunately RIM has decided not to support "over-the-air" calendar feeds in their devices. However, if your BlackBerry® is connected to your work calendar using Enterprise Server, you should be able to import the calendar feed into your desktop calendar (such as Outlook®) and have those changes pushed to your device. Make sure you "move" or "drag" the imported calendar in Outlook to the mailbox that your BB syncs with.
