Update, Amalgamation Discussions:
After meeting with the OMHA Regional Executive Members, the Amalgamation Committee has determined that there are several key pieces of information regarding future league structure that are currently under OMHA review. This information could have an impact on the amalgamation process.
With direction from the OMHA on these matters not coming for several months, it is virtually impossible for the EMHA to have an informative town hall meeting and subsequent vote on this amalgamation process in time for implementation for the 2012-2013 season.
The Amalgamation Committee will continue to work to collect information in order to provide the EMHA membership the facts needed to hold an informed vote.
In the meantime, please continue to provide your valuable input to this process.
